Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Important School Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

  • Morning Drop-off Time: Students can enter the building at 7:15 am. Students should be dropped off in the car-rider lane at the side door, using Entrance G off FM 2090 West. Please do not drop students off in the parking lot. Students should come inside the building and not linger outside or in closed-off areas.
  • Transportation Changes: Changes must be submitted in writing by 2:00 pm. You may send a handwritten note with your child or email the front office. For safety and security, we cannot accept transportation changes over the phone.
  • Early Check-out: If your child has an appointment, you must check them out before 3:00 pm.
  • Late Afternoon Pickup: Due to traffic flow and safety, student check-outs are paused after 3:00 pm. After this time, students must be picked up through the standard car rider line.

Car-Rider Route

Note: Car-rider tags are not needed.

  1. Turn into Entrance G off FM 2090 W. Entrance G is an entrance-only area during car-rider drop-off and pick-up, allowing for two lanes of cars.
  2. Before the last curve, merge into one lane of cars.
  3. Follow the yellow lines and cones. The first car should pull to the green 'DROP OFF POINT' sign.
  4. After your child is safely dropped off or picked up, follow the yellow line in a single car lane into the Piney Woods parking lot. Turn left towards FM 2090 W. Watch for pedestrians.

Clear Water Bottles Required

Students at Coleman 6th-Grade Campus may bring and use personal drinking bottles in classrooms and other areas outside of the cafeteria only if the bottle is a clear, plastic container. Glass bottles are not permitted. Bottles must contain WATER only. No other beverages are permitted.
