Start planning those outfits and help us make Homecoming Week a fun celebration of Wildcat pride! All attire must be school-appropriate and follow the SISD Student Handbook dress code.

Homecoming excitement is coming our way! Join us Wednesday, September 23, for the Splendora ISD Homecoming Parade at 6:30 PM, followed by the Bonfire Lighting at dusk behind the Coleman Campus! 

Want to be part of the parade? Information on signing up for a float will be coming next week!

Now, we just need Mother Nature to do her part—come on, rain! We can't wait to celebrate Homecoming with our Wildcat community!

From August 12, 2026, through October 9, 2026, the Gifted & Talented Department is accepting referrals to screen for students who may exhibit gifted characteristics and benefit from current programming options in grades 1 and 3-12. Kindergarten and Grade 2nd are universally screened per state and local policy.

 

This program is designed for students who exhibit any singular or combination of the following abilities or potential to develop capabilities at an extraordinary cognitive level: intellectual, leadership, creativity, artistic, and/or academic achievement. 

Services are provided only if the Gifted and Talented Identification Profile reveals an educational need upon assessment and if the need is determined to not be normally served within the general education classroom and could be served by the Gifted and Talented program initiatives.

Dear Splendora ISD Parents,

Splendora ISD is implementing an enhanced attendance notification process using ParentSquare and RaaWee. These systems will help keep families informed about student attendance and ensure that attendance records remain accurate.

Here is what you can expect:

If your student is marked absent, ParentSquare will send you a daily notification regarding the absence.

On Mondays, ParentSquare will send a summary of your student’s unexcused absences from the previous week, including the dates and class periods involved. If additional absences occur during the week, they will be reflected in subsequent weekly notifications.

On Tuesdays, ParentSquare will send a summary of your student’s tardies and/or early departures from the previous week, including the dates and class periods involved.

Please remember that arriving on time and remaining at school for the full instructional day is important to your student’s academic success. If a tardy or early departure was due to an excusable reason, please submit the appropriate documentation to your campus registrar as soon as possible.

RaaWee is Splendora ISD’s attendance tracking program and will monitor student attendance and send warning letters when unexcused absences accumulate.

In accordance with Sections 25.095 and 25.0915 of the Texas Education Code, students with unexcused absences may be subject to truancy prevention measures. Continued unexcused absences may result in additional action as required by law, including potential charges for Parent Contributing to Nonattendance and/or Failure to Attend School (Truancy).

Whenever your student is absent, tardy, or leaves school early, please submit the appropriate documentation in accordance with Splendora ISD’s attendance guidelines. Promptly providing documentation helps ensure your student’s attendance record is accurate.

Parents are responsible for monitoring their student’s attendance and ensuring regular school attendance.

If you believe an attendance record is incorrect or have documentation that should excuse an absence, tardy, or early departure, please contact your student’s campus as soon as possible.

We are kicking off our monthly character traits this week! In September, students will be learning about empathy: what it means to understand and consider the feelings and perspectives of others, and how we can show empathy in our everyday interactions. We’ll encourage students to recognize how their words and actions affect others and practice kindness, understanding, and compassion.

We will also begin our quarterly guidance lessons and individual planning sessions with the counselor. Our first guidance lesson will introduce students to the role of the school counselor, including the different ways the counselor can support them throughout the school year. Students will also identify their “Trusted Adult” on campus: someone they feel comfortable going to when they need help, have a concern, or simply need someone to talk to.

Through these lessons and individual check-ins, we want every student to know that they have people on campus who care about them, support them, and are here to help them succeed.

We’re excited to help our Wildcats grow not only as students, but also as kind, confident, and compassionate individuals!

The Splendora ISD Education Foundation’s Men (& Women) Who Cook fundraiser is coming up Saturday, October 24, at The Nathaniel Center—and we are looking for more chef teams!

Parents, staff members, friends, businesses, and community groups are all invited to put together a team and serve a favorite appetizer, entrée, side, drink, or dessert. No professional cooking experience is required. This is simply a fun way to represent your campus or organization, connect with our community, and help create more opportunities for Splendora ISD students and teachers.
