Exciting Things Happening at C6C!
At Coleman 6th Grade Campus, our goal is for every student to grow this year—not only academically in the classroom, but also personally through involvement in clubs, organizations, and campus activities. Getting involved is an important part of becoming a well-rounded, confident, and future-ready Wildcat!
🌱 Student Council Applications This past week, students have been able to pick up Student Council applications! Students interested in getting involved and helping make a difference on our campus can still pick up an application in the front office. Applications are due next Friday.
🏆 UIL Academic Events We will also begin introducing students to our UIL Academic Events! Students interested in participating should stop by the office to pick up an interest application. Be sure to listen to the announcements for more information about UIL events, coaches, and opportunities to represent Coleman. The competition will take place on February 6th, 2027, so be on the lookout for more information!
🛡️ Safety Awareness Week This coming week is dedicated to Safety Awareness! We are on a mission to build a district culture centered around safety, respect, and responsibility. Each day, we will focus on a different aspect of safety on our campus, and students will dive deeper into these topics during their POWER class safety lessons. Remember, Wildcats: Being future-ready means growing in the classroom, getting involved, and taking responsibility for ourselves and our campus community!

At Splendora ISD, creating safe and supportive schools takes all of us: students, staff, families, and our community. During August 31–September 4, our campuses will participate in activities designed to strengthen safety awareness, preparedness, communication, and connectedness across our district.
Throughout the week, students will engage in age-appropriate conversations and activities that help them understand what it means to be Safe. Seen. Supported. From knowing what to do during an emergency and identifying trusted adults to understanding when to speak up and recognizing how individual choices contribute to a safer school environment, each activity reinforces one important message:
Safety is not just something we practice; it's a commitment we make to one another.
We encourage our parents and community partners to continue these conversations at home and to help us reinforce a culture in which everyone understands their role in keeping our schools safe.

All students are offered a free breakfast and lunch.
Menus can be viewed by downloading the free SchoolCafe app from your device's app store or by visiting the Splendora ISD SchoolCafe Menus website. By setting up an account on SchoolCafe, you can make payments or set up automatic payments to your student's account, view what your student has purchased, and view menus in a daily, weekly, or monthly format. The website and app will also let you view the calories in each menu item and "Make a Tray" to show the meal's total calories. |
If you do not want Splendora ISD to use your child's Directory Information (ex: name, grade, photo) for school-sponsored purposes (such as the yearbook, district website, or social media), please remember to opt out. To opt out, please send a separate email or handwritten notice directly to your campus registrar. Do not respond to this message. The written notice must be received by the 10th school day from your child's first day of school. If you have already submitted your separate written notice, no further action is needed. |
The Physician's Request for Medication Administration and the Physician's Statement for Food Allergy forms must be completed each school year.
The following forms are available for download and completion.
A student must be fully immunized against certain diseases or must present a certificate or statement that, for medical reasons or reasons of conscience, including a religious belief, the student will not be immunized. For exemptions based on reasons of conscience, only official forms issued by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), Immunization Branch, can be honored by the district. This form may be obtained by writing the DSHS Immunization Branch (MC 1946), P.O. Box 149347, Austin, Texas 78714-9347; or online at Texas Immunization Exemptions. The form must be notarized and submitted to the principal or school nurse within 90 days of notarization. If the parent is seeking an exemption for more than one student in the family, a separate form must be provided for each student. The form is valid for two years from the date of notarization. |

The BRIDGE Mentoring Program connects caring community members with Splendora ISD students through meaningful, structured mentoring relationships that encourage academic success, social-emotional growth, leadership, and college and career readiness. Sometimes the greatest gift you can give a child is simply your time, your encouragement, and someone who believes in them. Schedule change requests closed on Friday, August 21st. Moving forward, student/parent-requested schedule changes will require a parent conference with an administrator or counselor.
Limiting schedule changes allows students time to adjust to their schedules and become comfortable managing their block rotations.

Last year, one Foundation educator grant helped create an arcade-style reward experience where students can celebrate their achievements in a fun and memorable way. It is just one example of how educator grants bring creative ideas to life and make a direct impact on Splendora ISD students.
Our 2026–2027 Educator Grant cycle is now open! Splendora ISD educators may request up to $3,000 individually or $6,000 as a team for innovative programs, resources, and learning experiences.
Educators, we would love to hear your ideas! Applications are due September 28 at 5:00 p.m.
